Ability, LLC specializes in early intervention ages 0-3  through First Steps, and also provides contract and private intervention for school aged children 3 – 21 years old, in the areas of evaluation, diagnostics, and treatment of speech-related issues including language, hearing, developmental delays, sensory issues, communication difficulties and feeding difficulties.

Our services include:

Clinic & Natural Development Services

Our service is provided to identify the source of possible speech or developmental impairments. Ability, LLC performs comprehensive diagnostics including audiological screenings and tests to check the child’s hearing. Pathology is an essential part of treatment to examine a physical defect that might be the cause of delay.

Speech/Language Evaluation and/or Therapy

Comprehensive evaluation of the child’s current skills is done for creating a customized therapy that best responds to the target goal. We offer gentle therapy that at the same time, provides emotional encouragement and positive motivation.

Swallowing/Feeding Evaluation and/or Therapy

Intercepting the needs while very young provides more improved outcomes than those who start therapy later. Early intervention provides a possibility for development that is more likely to be easily learned and automated at a young age. We also assist with swallowing disorders, feeding difficulties, and in adapting with speech devices.

Hearing Screening/Assessments

We provide a hearing screening as part of the comprehensive assessment for children.  Additional hearing assessment can be provided using a child friendly calibrated, audiometer.  Referrals are made to Audiologists as needed.

General Development/Sensory/Vision/Autism/Feeding/Swallow Screenings

Various screenings are available with referrals to qualified professionals as needed for further testing

OFTEN PARENTS CONTACT US WITH CONCERNS BECAUSE THEIR CHILD DID NOT MEET THE SCHOOLS CRITERIA FOR SERVICES OR THEY DO GET SERVICES BUT WOULD LIKE MORE SUPPORT. IF YOU WOULD LIKE FOR US TO EVALUATE YOUR CHILD TO DETERMINE IF THEY QUALIFY FOR MEDICAL BASED THERAPY TO GIVE MORE SUPPORT, WE OFTEN CAN DO THAT.  WE ARE MORE THAN HAPPY TO WORK WITH YOUR CHILD’S SCHOOL IF OUR EVALUATION DETERMINES THEY CAN BENEFIT FROM OUR THERAPY IN ADDITION TO THE SCHOOL’S WE ARE HAPPY TO HELP MAKE THAT HAPPEN, IF IT IS POSSIBLE.  WE ARE OFTEN ABLE TO DO SO. IF YOU ARE PRIVATE PAY YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE OUR SERVICES IN ADDITION TO THE SCHOOLS SERVICES OR INSTEAD. REMEMBER, SCHOOL SERVICES ARE FREE AS ARE FIRST STEPS SERVICE.  OUR SERVICES, AS WELL AS OTHER THERAPY CENTERS, WILL REQUIRE AN INSURANCE COVERAGE THAT WILL PAY FOR THE SERVICES, SUCH AS MEDICAID, OR YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THE SERVICES.
